CORNWALL – A Cornwall mother of two is still coming to terms with the fact she’s $225,000 richer.
Shannon Poirier, 43, won the chance to spin The Big Spin wheel at the OLG Prize Center in Toronto after scratching the prize on the instant scratch ticket.
“I was nervous walking into the room, and the wheel was heavier than I thought it would be!” she told lottery officials.
“In that moment (after spinning $225,000), I was shaking and sweating – it still hasn’t sunk in,” she said.
The 43-year-old plans to share her winnings with her kids, do some shopping and possibly go on a weekend vacation with her sisters.
