Boil water advisory lifted for Glen Walter

(Newswatch Group/File)

Update 3:55 p.m. Tuesday: Water and Wastewater Operations Director Dillen Seguin tells Cornwall Newswatch the boil water advisory has been lifted as of noon today. Original advisory story follows.

GLEN WALTER – South Glengarry residents on the Glen Walter water system are being told to boil their tap water.

The municipality says it’s a precautionary measure after tests at the water treatment plant “detected low water pressure in the drinking water system.”

Residents should bring their water to a full rolling boil for at least one minute before cooling it for drinking or other uses.

Alternatively, you can use bottled water, the township said.

The boil water advisory is in effect until further notice.
