
CORNWALL – City police say they nabbed three impaired drivers during a St. Patrick’s Day RIDE blitz.
The Friday (March 17) RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) program saw around 300 vehicles stopped at various locations in the city.
Police say one “novice driver” got a three day driver’s licence suspension.
Another blew a warning on a Breathalyzer and received a three day licence suspension.
There was one arrest where a driver was charged with impaired driving and “over 80” – having more than 80 mg of alcohol in 100 millimeters of blood. They also got their vehicle impounded for a week and their driver’s licence suspended for three months.
