Group arrested during attempted Cornwall vehicle theft

CORNWALL – City police say they’ve arrested seven people after an attempted vehicle theft in Glenview Heights.

The Cornwall Police Service says they were dispatched to Fraser Avenue in the early morning of Wednesday, Dec. 21 for people trying to break into a vehicle.

They were able to find the group nearby and arrested them during a traffic stop.

Seven men, all from Quebec and ranging in age from 18 to 33, are each facing one count of conspiracy, one count of possession of break-in instruments and three counts of possession of an automobile master key.
