LONG SAULT – Provincial police have arrested five people in connection to a number of stolen vehicles.

SD&G OPP say they recovered four stolen vehicles on Highway 401 and one on County Road 2 in South Stormont on Thursday morning (Nov. 24).

All of the accused are from Quebec – the youngest being 15 years old.

The teen from the Quebec City area (Saint-Elzear) is facing charges of dangerous driving, possession of stolen property, possession of break-in instruments and flight from police.

Police did not say why the accused is not facing underage driving charges, since they are not legally allowed to drive in Ontario or Quebec.

The others charged are 61, 38, 18, and 19 years old.
