LONG SAULT ā Provincial police have identified and arrested a suspect in connection to a couple of robberies at a Long Sault convenience store.
SD&G OPP arrested 41-year-old Jeffrey Menard of South Stormont yesterday and charged him with two counts of robbery with violence.
Police say the Circle K (formerly Mac’s) on Moulinette Road was robbed by a man demanding cash and cigarettes around 2:20 a.m. Monday (June 20) and then again just before midnight on the same day.
In both cases, the robber got away with cash and smokes.
Police put out still images of the suspect from a security camera that was in the store, which led to yesterday’s arrest.
