SDSG – Local Liberals are expected to nominate their only candidate for the upcoming provincial election next week.

The Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry Provincial Liberal Association will hold a virtual nomination meeting Tuesday night where South Dundas Deputy Mayor Kirsten Gardner will be acclaimed.

Gardner was the only person to meet all the filing requirements and deadlines, the association said.

She will be running against Progressive Conservative candidate Nolan Quinn.

So far the Greens and New Democrats have not announced a candidate for Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry.

We go to the polls in a little over five weeks (June 2).
