INGLESIDE – The Highway 401 service center on the westbound side between Ingleside and Morrisburg is the latest addition to the electric vehicle charging network.
The Ingleside location, between Aultsville Road and Upper Canada Road, is among five ONroute locations that have come online as of today, the Ontario government announced.
The EV charging stations are part of the Ford government’s plan to have 69 fast chargers at all 23 ONroute locations across the province.
The five latest stations bring the total number of stations online to 11.
The electric vehicle boosters are pay-per-use and will set a driver back about 30 cents a minute. The government estimates that on most electric vehicles it will cost about $7 to get 150 kilometers or driving range.
