COVID-19 Ontario Update: October 23, 2021

As of 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Public Health Ontario reported another 373** cases of COVID-19 (VAX: 210 none, 18 partial, 109 full, 36 unknown), bringing the total to 597,145. That’s a 0.1 per cent increase in total cases since Friday. Of those, 583,931 are resolved (97.8 per cent) and 9,845 people have died (six more than Friday).

There are 269 people in hospital (all hospitals reporting), 136 in ICU and 96 on a ventilator. The number of tests performed is 18,751,965 (27,302 more than Friday) and results are pending for 13,410.

Ontario has administered 22,365,905 vaccine doses (27,243 more than Friday), 10,918,231 fully vaccinated.

**Peel (45), Toronto (41), York Region (26) and Ottawa (39) account for 151 of today’s cases.
