COVID-19 Ontario Update: October 24, 2021

As of 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Public Health Ontario reported another 370** cases of COVID-19 (VAX: 190 none, 22 partial, 123 full, 35 unknown), bringing the total to 597,515. That’s a 0.1 per cent increase in total cases since Saturday. Of those, 584,411 are resolved (97.8 per cent) and 9,846 people have died (one more than Saturday).

There are 138 people in hospital (~10 per cent of hospitals not reporting weekend bed census), 137 in ICU and 97 on a ventilator. The number of tests performed is 18,777,293 (25,328 more than Saturday) and results are pending for 7,990.

Ontario has administered 22,385,190 vaccine doses (19,285 more than Saturday), 10,931,045 fully vaccinated.

**Peel (42), Toronto (47), York Region (31) and Ottawa (23) account for 143 of today’s cases.
