BAINSVILLE – Provincial police are working some leads after someone hurled rocks through the windshields of transport trucks on Highway 401 last weekend.

“The investigating officer has received some information to follow up on,” SD&G OPP Const. Tylor Copeland told Cornwall Newswatch Friday.

A couple of trucks were damaged last Saturday night (Sept. 18) after rocks smashed through the windshields and entered the cab of the trucks.

Some other rigs, as well as cars and trucks, were damaged by rocks that were pitched off the 2nd Line Road overpass into the eastbound lanes, west of Bainsville.

Police say luckily there were no injuries.
