Season wraps at Cornwall Motor Speedway

CORNWALL – Brian McDonald has taken his first Canadian Nationals Series feature while Corey Wheeler took his second championship Sunday at Cornwall Motor Speedway during the racetrack’s season finale.

The 125-lap race was caution-filled and saw one driver – Carey Terrance – end up on his roof during lap 112.

Elsewhere, Mathieu Laramee won the 50-lap sportsman feature. Ryan Stabler was crowned series champion.

In the pro-stock, Bruno Richard won the race while Dave Seguin was series champion.

In the 25-lap mini-stock, Skylar Ladouceur won his first feature. Alexis Charbonneau was the 2021 champion and Pierre Picard the series champion.

In the novice sportsman division, 13-year-old Elliot Gamache captured his first win. Tristan Ladouceur was the 2021 champion.

The next event will be the Fireball Enduro Sept. 18-19.
