Sixth person charged in Cornwall drug ring investigation

CORNWALL – A sixth person in Cornwall has been charged in connection to the takedown of a large scale drug ring.

Cornwall police searched several homes last week with the help of O.P.P. as part of Project Sunrise, seizing cocaine, meth and fentanyl, two Tasers, three guns and ammunition.

Five people were arrested during the June 3 raids.

Blake Atwell, 45, of Cornwall was arrested on Wednesday (June 9).

He is facing seven charges including possession of a prohibited weapon (Taser) and breach of an undertaking for having a cell phone and failing to keep the peace.

Atwell was kept in jail for a bail hearing today (June 10).
