CORNWALL – Two Cornwall pharmacies are among 700 more drug store locations that will offer the AstraZeneca vaccine starting this week.

The Ontario government announced Sunday that not all locations will be up and running Monday and that some may be later in the week.

The Shoppers Drug Mart on Brookdale Avenue and the FreshCo Pharmacy on Ninth Street have been picked as locations.

The Walmart pharmacy in Rockland was also added.

This is in addition to the previous EOHU drug store locations in Winchester, Embrun and Hawkesbury.

In neighbouring Leeds-Grenville and Lanark County, the region will have 22 additional pharmacy locations, including one in Prescott and three each in Brockville and Kemptville.

The shot is available to those 55 years old and older.
