CORNWALL – For some, it’s the final signal that winter is over and spring is here.

The City of Cornwall’s conditional winter parking restrictions will be lifted tomorrow night (Wednesday, 11:59 p.m.).

That means you can park your car or truck overnight on the street unconditionally starting tomorrow (Wednesday) night.

During the last half of March, the city’s final phase of on-street parking allowed for an overnight parking ban between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. if there was 5 centimeters (2 inches) of snow in the forecast.

Update 12:07 p.m. Tuesday: Following the publication of this story, the City of Cornwall issued a notice saying it has the authority to ticket you if you park on the street overnight when there’s a snow event outside the winter parking restrictions period.
