SDSG nursing homes get additional $880,000 in government help

SDSG – Nine long-term care homes in Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry are getting money to help with pandemic needs.

Local MPP Jim McDonell announced an additional $880,500 in help on Monday, which includes a COVID-19 screening system, hiring more staff and supplies.

Heartwood in Cornwall is receiving the most at $214,100.

The other recipients are Dundas Manor, St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Center, Woodland Villa, Sandfield Place, Parisien Manor, Lancaster Long Term Care, the Akwesasne long-term care home and Glen-Stor-Dun Lodge.

This money is a top-up on hundred of thousands of dollars the homes have received previously.
