CORNWALL – The City of Cornwall has promoted from within, naming Mellissa Morgan as the new manager of the Social and Housing Services department.
In a statement Tuesday, CAO Maureen Adams says Morgan has made “significant contributions” to the department with “proven leadership capabilities.”
Morgan started with the city in 1994 and has been case manager, family support worker and supervisor within the Ontario Works division. Most recently she has been the program supervisor for the social housing division.
She takes over for Stacey Ferguson, who left in June for a job with the Ontario government.
Social and Housing Services is responsible for social housing, welfare and child care in the City of Cornwall and the United Counties of SD&G.
