ALEXANDRIA – A man’s body has been found inside a garage that burned Wednesday afternoon.
Emergency responders were called to the property on Lochiel Street East around 2:30 p.m.
North Glengarry firefighters were able to put out the fire.
“It was reported that there was a person inside the structure. Further investigation led to the discovery of a deceased victim inside the garage,” SD&G O.P.P. said.
The victim is an adult man but his identity is not yet known.
Investigators from the Ontario Fire Marshal’s office, the coroner and the SD&G O.P.P. Crime Unit are investigating.
