Highway 20 WB closed at provincial border

RIVIERE-BEAUDETTE, Que. – The westbound lanes of Highway 20 are closed near the Ontario-Quebec border after a vehicle fire.

It reportedly involves a tractor-trailer on fire and it happened in Quebec about two kilometers east of the provincial border around 3:30 p.m.

Traffic is backed up in the westbound lanes for several kilometers.

The eastbound lanes are unaffected.

Detours are in place.

It’s not known how long the westbound lanes will be closed.

Highway 20, known in French as Autoroute 20, is what Highway 401 becomes once you leave Ontario and enter Quebec, heading to Montreal.
