CORNWALL – If you see a swarm of police, firefighters and Cornwall Transit buses around Glen-Stor-Dun Lodge this morning (Thursday), don’t be alarmed.

It’s part of an evacuation exercise and annual fire drill taking place throughout the morning.

Students from nearby Catholic schools are acting as stand-ins for residents while the city tests it emergency evacuation procedures and policies.

Those students will be moved to the Cornwall Civic Complex as part of the drill.

People living at the lodge are also being “evacuated internally” from their rooms and relatives of those residents have been told about what’s going on, the city said.
