BAINSVILLE – A South Glengarry rescue is getting a grant from a national pet store to help with its sterilization and vaccination programs.

Roy and Cher’s Rescue Farm in Bainsville will use the $2,500 to reduce its waiting list, which can be over 50 cats at times waiting for procedures before they’re adopted.

The grant comes from PetSmart Charities of Canada.

The rescue – a registered charity run by volunteers and in operation since 2013 – was nominated by the retailer’s district leader.
