SDSG – The Green Party of Canada has its candidate for Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry for the October federal election.

Raheem Aman, 26, is a personal trainer with a legal education from McMaster University.

Described by the party in his biography as “a proud Black Canadian” with family from Barbados and Jamaica, he has political experience before with the Green party, having run as a candidate in the Hamilton Mountain riding in 2002.

Aman moved to the area last year and has family in Hawkesbury.

He will be running against Conservative Eric Duncan and People’s Party of Canada candidate Sabile Trimm.

The Liberals haven’t picked a person to run, ahead of the Oct. 22 election, nor have the New Democrats.
