NORTH GLENGARRY – Provincial police have identified the truck driver killed in a rear-end collision on Highway 417 in North Glengarry early Wednesday morning.
SD&G O.P.P. say 59-year-old Claude Boudreau of Laval, Que. died when his truck slammed into the back of a stopped tractor-trailer at a construction zone in the eastbound lanes between McCrimmon Road and County Road 34.
The exact cause of the crash is still under investigation.
The other truck driver was not hurt.
A section of the eastbound lanes of Highway 417 were closed for most of the day Wednesday for the investigation.
