CORNWALL – The United Way of SD&G has its new executive director.

Juliette Labossiere has been named to the top position with the not-for-profit agency.

Labossiere was born and raised in Cornwall and came back to the Seaway City four years ago after roughly two decades away. She also brings program management experience in the not-for-profit sector.

“The United Way I think for me is a dream job because it really comes back to the community that I feel raised me and made me the person I am,” Labossiere told YourTV.

She told the cable station that the local United Way is no different than other agencies facing the same issues across Canada – minimal funding.

“I am just going to take something that is already wonderful and help build on that and move forward one community together uniting the services to help better service the community,” she said.

Labossiere takes over for Meagan Bingley, who left in February to return to the insurance industry.
