CORNWALL – The region’s health unit is working to get in touch with people who may have exposed to a case of the measles in the Ottawa area.

Meanwhile, a second case of the disease was reported to Ottawa Public Health over the weekend.

In SD&G, Prescott-Russell there have been no confirmed cases as of Friday, the Eastern Ontario Health Unit said.

Local Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Paul Roumeliotis, is urging everyone to have their vaccinations up to date.

Ottawa Public Health was investigating another case of the measles on Sunday, not connected to the initial report on April 3.
