O.P.P. charity golf tourney gives $20,000 to community groups

LONG SAULT – The SD&G O.P.P. has handed out a total of $20,000 to five community groups for various projects across SD&G.

The money was raised through the SD&G O.P.P. 15th Annual Golf Tournament and was presented to the groups that supported the event. Desjardins Caisse Populaire was also a major sponsor.

The recipients were the organizers of a youth talent contest at a French culture center, a youth project which helps provide snowsuits to children in need, Jumpstart, the Glengarry Inter-Agency Group (GIAG) and the St. Vincent de Paul Society in Alexandria.

Each received $4,000.
