BASF named top employer fifth time

CORNWALL – Chemical company BASF, which has operations in Cornwall, has been named one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for the fifth year in a row.

The Mediacorp Canada survey reviewed over 95,000 Canadian workplaces on their hiring practices and whether they are “progressive and forward-thinking.” Of those, 9,800 were invited to submit applications for the distinction.

BASF scored top marks in a number of areas including its professional development program for college students.

The Cornwall plant on Wallrich Avenue, which makes chemicals for handling and molding plastics, has 30 employees.
