CORNWALL – One driver was taken to hospital by EMS Wednesday afternoon after a two vehicle crash on McConnell Avenue.
The collision, at the intersection of Fourth Street East around 1:15 p.m., involved a pickup truck and a car.
Both vehicles – a Chevy Silverado Z71 pickup and a Pontiac G5 – had front end damage and the G5 was leaking fluid on the road. Firefighters put down absorbent to clean it up.
The pickup came to rest against a fence on the northeast corner of the intersection.
Cornwall Fire Department Acting Platoon Chief John Irwin told Cornwall Newswatch, thankfully, there were no serious injuries.
Part of the intersection was closed for a police investigation and cleanup. McConnell Avenue was reopened around 2 p.m.
