CORNWALL – Cornwall police are investigating a collision between a school bus and a car at a city intersection Thursday (Nov. 1) morning.
It happened around 8:50 a.m. at the intersection of Bedford Street and Seventh Street West – a block west of King George Park.
“While there were children on the school bus at the time of the collision, none of the passengers are believed to have sustained any serious injuries,” police spokesman Stephanie MacRae told Cornwall Newswatch.
A parent told CNW the bus was heading to Central Public School and had about two dozen kids on board at the time.
Phone calls to bus owner First Student Transportation and the Student Transportation of Eastern Ontario (STEO) were not returned.
