McGillis elected mayor of South Stormont

LONG SAULT – Bryan McGillis is back as mayor of South Stormont.

The former mayor had a close race against in closest rival, Tammy Hart. Unofficial results show McGillis got 2,311 votes versus 2,097 for Tammy Hart. Christopher Bonneville had 636.

Two councillors were running for deputy mayor. David Smith won with 2,587. Richard Waldroff had 2,307.

The three members on council will be Cindy Woods (1,663), Jennifer MacIsaac (2,318) and Andrew Guindon (1,892).
