CORNWALL – A student at St. Lawrence Secondary School got a chance to show off his skills at an American baseball camp.

Wyatt Genoway, 16, was among 140 players invited last month to the Alabama State University Baseball Showcase in Montgomery, Ala.

“It was a fun experience,” Genoway said. “I received some general tips and little tricks on how to make my game a little better.”

He wants to play with a U.S. college or university team in the future.

It will be a few weeks before he knows whether he caught the eye of any scouts.
