Crash closes County Road 2 at Lost Villages Museum

Update 8:17 p.m. Friday: County Road 2 was reopened to traffic.

LONG SAULT – A section of County Road 2 is closed this afternoon (4 p.m.) after a two vehicle collision near the Lost Villages Museum.

The crash involved a vehicle and a motorcycle near Fran Laflamme Drive (also known as Ault Park Road) on the highway next to the museum.

At least one person has been taken to hospital by Cornwall-SDG Paramedic Services.

South Stormont firefighters were on the scene but were relieved as of 4:45 p.m. O.P.P. are still holding the crash scene.

A section of County Road 2 between Richmond Road and Avonmore Road remains closed for a police investigation and detours are in place.

As of 4:30 p.m., SD&G Const. Eric Ranger told Cornwall Newswatch they were still deciding whether an accident reconstruction team would be sent to the scene.
