REGINA, Sask. – Brooke Henderson has won the CP Women’s Open and is the first Canadian to score the national title in 45 years.
The last Canuck was Jocelyne Bourassa in 1973.
The Smiths Falls golfer told LPGA.com it was “definitely a dream come true” and was “really special to have five birdies on the back nine with no bogeys…was truly special.”
Henderson, 20, described this summer as hard for her and her family and “to put it all together like this it’s really meaningful.”
This is Brooke’s second win this season and she now has seven LPGA Tour titles.
