CORNWALL – Three schools have won hundreds of dollars for a video project promoting Cornwall Transit.

Cornwall Collegiate and Vocational School (CCVS) won first place of $500 while Bridgewood Public School and La Citadelle shared second prize, each receiving $300, in the Cornwall Transit Video Challenge.

The winning video depicts the lives of a student, a mother and child and a woman going to an appointment and how the transit service helps their lives.

“The purpose of the project was to promote Cornwall Transit and the three submissions of the schools feted here created videos that displayed a range of narrative and cinematic skills that attest to the great skills training that students in Cornwall are getting at our schools,” transit committee member Elaine MacDonald said.

Cornwall Transit and city officials went to the three schools this morning – aboard a city bus – to present certificates and award the prize money.
