Cornwallite appointed to federal tribunal

OTTAWA – A Cornwallite been named to be part of a federal tribunal overseeing transportation in Canada.

Federal Transport Minister Marc Garneau announced yesterday (May 28) that John Mark MacKeigan will be a full-time member for the Canadian Transportation Agency

MacKeigan will serve four years with the CTA, which is a Government of Canada tribunal that makes decisions on federally controlled modes of transportation – rail, marine and air.

The agency has five full-time members.

“I am pleased to announce that these highly qualified Canadians have agreed to serve in the transportation sector. Their appointments, will ensure continued good governance,” Garneau said. He had also announced three appointments to a New Brunswick port authority.
