Car crashes into Water Street building

CORNWALL – A driver sustained non-life threatening injuries after a single vehicle crash Saturday afternoon on Water Street.

Cornwall police are still investigating the cause of the crash at Water Street and Adolphus Street, where a small car went into the side of the former CJSS building around noon.

The building sustained considerable damage, as did the car.

Few details were available as the police traffic unit is still investigating.

A section of Water Street was closed for several hours for the investigation but reopened around 4 p.m. Saturday.
