
CORNWALL – The Cornwall Nationals managed to take one game during a three day weekend in North Carolina.
The Nationals lost their first game Friday (Feb. 9) 5-4 in overtime against the Carolina Thunderbirds.
Saturday’s game saw Cornwall with a 5-4 win over Carolina and on Sunday the Nationals lost 4-3 to the Thunderbirds.
The Winston-Salem Fairground Annex with packed with fans. The audience peaked on Saturday night with 3,350 in the stands.
The Cornwall Nationals are second in the standings with 17-12-0-0 for 54 points.
They will take on the league-leading Port Huron Prowlers on Friday night (Feb.16) at the Ed Lumley Arena. The puck drops at 8:30 p.m.
