CORNWALL – A Cornwall man has scratched his way to a quarter million dollars.
Michael Kelly won the top prize on Instant Crossword Deluxe and found out about his big win after checking his ticket he bought at MacMillan’s Convenience on Marlborough Street.
“I initially thought I won $50. When the machine froze and the words ‘Big Winner’ appeared on the customer display screen, I realized I won much more! I couldn’t believe it,” Kelly said.
The married father of one and grandfather of three plans to enjoy his winnings with his family, saying it will provide some financial “breathing room” as he plans to pay off their mortgage.
