CORNWALL – City police have lodged an uncommon charge – harassing communications – against a middle-aged Cornwall woman.

The 53-year-old is accused of trying to communicate with her daughter even though she was told by police to stop it.

The accused was arrested yesterday (Nov. 6) and later released to appear in court in December.

Her name wasn’t released in order to protect the identity of the victim.

A Criminal Code of Canada charge of harassing communications carries a sentence up to two years in jail.
