Motorcyclist killed in Morrisburg collision

Update 10 p.m.: The intersection at County Road 31 and County Road 2 has reopened.

MORRISBURG — A motorcyclist has died after a collision between his bike and a minivan at a Morrisburg intersection.

SD&G O.P.P. say an eastbound vehicle on County Road 2 crossed the centerline and collided with the westbound motorcycle around 2:30 p.m.

Police, paramedics and firefighters were on the scene at the intersection of County Road 31 and County Road 2 around 2:45 p.m performing CPR on the male victim.

The motorcycle driver has since died of his injuries at hospital.

The driver of the station wagon (corrected from earlier description as a minivan) was treated at hospital for minor injuries.

No names have been released until family is notified.

An O.P.P. investigation is underway.
