CORNWALL – City police are searching for a red-coloured vehicle involved in a collision with a motorcycle on Ninth Street Thursday night.

The motorcycle rider was taken to Cornwall hospital after the two vehicle crash. The vehicle didn’t stay at the scene, police said.

The collision between the Harley-style motorcycle and another vehicle happened around 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of Alexander Avenue (one block east of Sydney Street).

Cornwall police Sgt. Patrick Paquette told Cornwall Newswatch the man on the motorcycle was complaining of back and neck pain so he was taken to hospital by paramedics as a precaution.

The bike wreckage was cleaned up and the scene was cleared after 10 p.m.

Police do have a partial plate of the suspect vehicle – it starts with “CAP”, Staff Sgt. Brian Snyder told CNW Friday.
