Fire levels South Dundas business

Update 4 p.m.: County Road 31 has reopened and South Dundas firefighters have left the scene.

GLEN BECKER – Fire has ripped through a South Dundas business, forcing emergency responders to shut down a section of County Road 31.

The fire at Doug’s Golden Eagle Welding & Fabrication started around 10 a.m. Monday morning.

As of noon today, South Dundas firefighters and provincial police were still on scene.

The building is a complete loss.

A section of County Road 31 is closed and detours are in place via County Road 28 and Whitteker Road.

SD&G O.P.P. say there are no reported injuries.
