INGLESIDE — There’s been a second deadly crash on the eastbound side of Highway 401.
SD&G O.P.P. say it happened around 12:30 p.m. near mile marker 769 when a passenger vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer.
A male driver in the car died at the scene.
The truck driver was uninjured.
Const. Tylor Copeland told Cornwall Newswatch he believed traffic was backed up in the area at the time of the crash, as people were taking a detour at Dickinson Drive.
The eastbound side is now closed from Upper Canada Road to Brookdale Avenue in Cornwall.
It had been closed from Dickenson Drive in Ingleside after a crash involving three tractor-trailers last night, which killed one driver.
