MORRISBURG – A lot has happened in 25 years.
South Dundas council will get a peek into life nearly three decades ago as a time capsule, buried in July 1992, will be unearthed and opened prior to the regular council meeting.
“We were recently made aware of the capsule, and instantly began planning for its opening,” South Dundas Mayor Evonne Delegarde said.
“We have no idea what is inside, and we’re all very excited to find out!”
The time capsule will be opened at 6 p.m. on Tuesday (July 18) at the South Dundas Municipal Center council chambers at 34 Ottawa Street in Morrisburg.
After checking it out, council will add some items, such as photos and letters, and bury it again for the elected body of 2042 to discover.
