Cooper confirmed in Clarkson recruiting class

POTSDAM, N.Y. – Former Cornwall Colts captain Grant Cooper has been confirmed as one of seven players to take to the ice this fall as a Golden Knight.

Clarkson University announced the seven players for its 2017 recruiting class on Friday (July 7).

Cooper is among five forwards named, along with one defenceman and a goalie.

Five of the seven starting class are Canadian players. In addition to Cooper, there are forwards Nick Campoli from Etobicoke, Josh Dickinson from Georgetown, defenceman Connor McCarthy from LaSalle, Que., and goalie Nicholas Latinovich from Maple, Ont.

Cooper finished his final Colts season this spring with a career high in goals, assists and points at 26-41-67 in 55 games. He was named top graduating player at the CCHL awards.
