EMS open house wrapping up Paramedic Services Week

CORNWALL – For the first time since it opened, residents are getting a chance to go through the Cornwall-SDG Paramedic Services building on Campbell Street.

An open house started at 10 a.m. this morning and runs until 2 p.m. (Saturday) at 601 Campbell Street.

A free barbecue is happening from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m., plus there’s ambulance rides for the kids, a teddy bear clinic and a paramedic skills and obstacle course (at 1 p.m.).

During a council meeting on May 23, council proclaimed Paramedic Services Week to recognize the men and woman involved in saving lives in the community.

Paramedics James Doherty and Leigh Keeler from the honour guard, as well as paramedics Scott Halliday, Amanda Palieps and Barb Leggett were in the audience for the proclamation.
