Panthers rugby team dominates at D.C. tourney

CORNWALL – The St. Joseph’s Panthers ladies rugby team has come back to Cornwall undefeated after a tournament in the Washington, D.C. area.

The Lady Panthers Rugby Team were in the International Maryland Exiles Tournament last weekend (March 25-26).

They defeated the host Exiles 19-5 in game one, Bel Aire 72-0 in game two and Tennessee Tribe 53-5 in game three.

Two days before the tournament, the ladies had a walking tour of the Washington National Mall and attended Mass at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Leesburg, Va. on Friday (March 24).
