Two charged in armed robbery of man

CORNWALL – Two Cornwall men are facing criminal charges after a third man was threatened with several weapons during a robbery.

Cornwall police allege the two suspects had confronted a third man on Wednesday (Jan. 3) with a baseball bat and a handgun and demanded money and personal property.

Const. Dan Cloutier told Cornwall Newswatch the accused did get away with some articles through the exact details are not being released because it will be evidence before the court.

Investigators say one of men was covering his face with a mask during the robbery.

Police arrested two men – 20-year-old Joey Laurin and 22-year-old Daniel Legue.

A knife was recovered during the arrest.

Both men are facing charges of robbery, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a dangerous weapon.

Laurin is facing additional charges of pointing a firearm and breach of a reognizance for possessing a weapon. Legue is facing additional charges of disguise with intent a breach of two probation orders.

Investigators say the victim and the perpetrators knew each other.
