Feustel to travel to ISS in 2018

CORNWALL – Two American astronauts – one with a connection by marriage to Cornwall – will be heading to the International Space Station (ISS) in 2018.

NASA announced Wednesday (Jan. 4) that Andrew Feustel and first-timer Jeanette Epps will be heading to the ISS as part of the next two expedition crews next year.

Feustel, who is married to Indira Bhatnagar Feustel of Cornwall, will make the voyage in March 2018, according to Space.com.

The couple have two sons – Ari and Aden.

Feustel will serve as flight engineer for Expedition 55 and then commander of Expedition 56.

Trained in geological sciences at Queen’s University, this will be his third space shuttle mission.

Epps is from Syracuse, N.Y. and will be the first African-American to go on an International Space Station expedition.
