CORNWALL – A Cornwall man with ties to a support group for the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club has been picked up again on drug-related charges.
Jeffrey Berube, 52, was arrested Monday (Oct. 24) during a traffic stop and charged with drug possession, drug trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.
He was also charged with breaching a court-ordered curfew and being in possession of a weapon, drugs and drug paraphernalia.
An officer seized a knife, some pills believed to be speed, cash and drug paraphernalia.
Berube was among four people arrested this summer in a joint Cornwall Community Police Service and SD&G O.P.P. drug investigation.
At that time, Cornwall police said two of the accused – one being Berube – were known members of the “13 Crew,” a support group for the Hells Angels.
Const. Dan Cloutier told Cornwall Newswatch Wednesday they are “not making any comment that this (traffic) stop is related to or has anything to do with the 13 Crew.”
Berube was scheduled to be in a Cornwall courtroom on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016.
